Saturday- May 26th
Katherine, Amanda, Tiffany, and I spent the afternoon in Kew Gardens. Kew Gardens are the largest botanical gardens in Europe.
We stopped at a little market for lunch just outside of the gardens to get pasties and homemade doughnuts. Yum!
My friend Seth would have a ball here because he loves plants so much! It's like a plant-lover's Disneyland. I just like all of the pretty plants. :) Maybe I should study more about them though? I took lots of pictures! Here's just a few:
A LARGE greenhouse. It was extremely humid and green; I felt like I was in the Amazon.
"That is MAHOGANY!" (name that movie)
A Water Lilly Pond- like Monet's paintings that I've seen but in REAL LIFE!
I found Utah the desert section in Diana's memorial gardens- home sweet home.
"Piranhas live in the Amazon." (name that movie)
A real rock garden- no joke. There's rocks from every continent in this large and beautiful that includes nice water features. When I have a yard some day that needs a rock wall, I will use this as my inspiration!
A Treetop Walk through the tree tops. :) It was stunning!
Bamboo Garden
Kayley turned the big two oh- 20- on Sunday and so we went out to dinner to celebrate. Upon a suggestion from Emily and Hannah Mason, we went out to My Olde Dutch Pancake House. We found out that real Dutch Pancakes are basically giant, delicious crepes! They have both savory and sweet crepes there but I got a savory one for dinner. We were all in heaven- literally. I got something called the Amsterdammer= bacon+apples+maple syrup. Happy Birthday to Kayley! Thanks for being born so we could celebrate with you. :)
(myself, the birthday girl- Kayley, and Jared)
We ended the night with a study session for our no mercy painful difficult challenging test coming up on Monday morning. I have found that I study really well with conversation. I like talking to people about the subject, especially teaching others because it helps me remember better. Thanks for your help Tiffany!
We took study breaks in between by watching YouTube videos. I have found Jaden shares my enthusiasm for funny YouTube clips. We recently found out that a boy in our group is a YouTube sensation! We feel pretty lucky that we are friends with him because he keeps us laughing here. We were watching his videos and then he watching his videos with us! It was definitely a great moment. If you want to watch Trent Leinenbach and laugh, go here or here. :)
"Break it down?!? Are you kidding? This is hand-carved mahogany!!" Emperor's New Groove! :)
